For more than six years, the friendly framers at Framed in Time have been working closely with their customers to get them exactly what they want for their artwork needs. Framed in Time, housed in historic Saxonville Mill, stresses customer interaction and education, something the workers here say you can't get at a chain store. They work with the community too, doing such things are hosting photography classes for school kids. Once you become a customer, they hope, you are one for life. In addition to framing services, the store sells various gift items.
Located inside the Danforth Museum, the Framingham Artists' Guild is a community for practicing artists, art enthusiasts and supporters, and youth artists. The Guild has shows at the Framingham Public Library twice a year, sponsors concerts at Centre Common during warm summer months, and hosts art competitions.
Saxonville Studios is a studio space for a diverse group of local artists that have been practicing their craft in the area for some 20 years. The studio, housed in the Saxonville Mill complex, is directed by Rosalie Shane, herself an accomplished painter. Other types of art represented at the studio are photography, sculpture, tapestry, multimedia and more. The studio hosts an open house one weekend per year.
