Established in 1895, the Carriage Barn Arts Center at Waveny Park is home to the New Canaan Society for the Arts, a member-based organization committed to promoting greater participation across the visual and performing arts. The Barn hosts premier art exhibitions free to the public, collaborates with local schools, sponsors workshops and hosts musical and community events in its gallery space.
The Barn also sponsors “Art in the Windows” which places art in retail stores for the enjoyment of New Canaan residents. All artwork in its exhibits is for sale and a percentage of sales directly supports the Carriage Barn.
The Carriage Barn is available for rental for meetings, private parties and non-profit events. Please contact the gallery administrator.
Forest To Shore Gallery is a local art gallery and tattoo parlor displaying paintings, sculpture and mixed media pieces along side customized works of body art.
