Ploughshares Nursery is a social enterprise of Alameda Point Collaborative. It uses all sales to maintain housing on the old naval base for individuals and families facing homelessness. Ploughshares is a sustainable nursery that specializes in edible plants, drought-tolerant plants and native plants. It offers residents of supportive housing the option to work in its State-Certified Landscape Apprentice Program. It offers free gardening workshops monthly.
