MainStreet Libertyville is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and developing Libertyville's historic downtown through education, design, promotion, organization and economic revitalization. The volunteer-based organization was established in 1989 and works with the Village of Libertyville to host events such as farmer's markets, picnics in the parks, live music and First Friday on MainStreet where downtown businesses open late and offer entertainments and hor d'oeuvres.
