St. Jude parish had grown considerably by 2004, and another priest was needed at the church, so plans began to replace the rectory on Monroe Turnpike. Bishop William Lori of Bridgeport led a groundbreaking ceremony on March 21, 2004, and the bishop dedicated the brand new facility on Church Street on June 25, 2006.
