Tuscaloosa Academy, founded in 1967, is an independent coeducational college-preparatory school that offers education to students in grades kindergarten through 12. Its academic curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, fine arts and computer science. The school also offers a range of sports activities that include football, basketball, golf, tennis, cross country, track, baseball, cheerleading, soccer and softball. Additionally, it organizes various extracurricular programs that include student government association, computer club, Latin American dancing, Scholar Bowl and environmental protection club. Tuscaloosa Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school has an enrollment of more than 400 students and is located in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
