The Jim Henson Company, a provider of family entertainment since 1955, has received worldwide recognition as a leader in puppetry, animatronics and computer graphics. Best known as creators of the world famous Muppets, it has received numerous Emmy Awards and several Grammy Awards. Additionally, Jim Henson s Creature Shop has received Academy Awards for the visual effects and animatronic builds for the 1996 movie Babe, and the invention of the Henson Performance Control System a custom-built puppeteering mechanism. Its recent projects include Farscape, the family film Good Boy!, and the features Five Children and It, MirrorMask, a preschool series entitled Francesand and the television feature Muppets Wizard of Oz.
