Established in 1962, Sonora Elementary School serves approximately 300 students in kindergarten through grade four. Its academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally offers classes in art, music and physical education. Sonora Elementary School s after-school programs include student council and drama and nature clubs. Its facilities include a playground, cafeteria, nearly six portable classrooms and more than 15 regular classrooms.
