Established 1969, United Transportation Union is an American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) affiliated. Located in Olmsted, Ohio, it is one of the largest railroads operating union in North America, with more than 500 locals. The company s membership is primarily from the operating crafts in the railroad industry and includes conductors, brakemen, switchmen, ground service personnel, locomotive engineers, hostlers and workers in associated crafts. The auxiliary of the United Transportation Union is nonsectarian and nonpartisan.
