Sieyo Sushi and Wine Shop's chic modern decor is made warm by the elegant red drapes in its entryway and by its abundance of wood surfaces. A long and narrow wooden community table in the center of the restaurant is surrounded by smaller tables, and the sushi chefs are visible to diners as they work behind a bar along one wall. There are an additional 20 seats outside. While the menu mainly comprises sushi maki and nigiri, popular Japanese appetizers such as ohitashi, shumai, edamame and miso soup are offered as well. This restaurant is unique for its attached wine shop, which is partially open to the dining areas. Most Thursday and Friday evenings, the store holds tastings.
