Founded in 1879, Saint Marys Hall is a coeducational, college preparatory school that serves students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The school offers a wide curriculum that includes reading, writing, English, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. It also provides classes in foreign languages, religion, music, fine arts and computer technology. Additionally, the school offers more than 20 advanced-placement courses for its students. Its fine arts department offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes theater and visual arts, sculpture, choir, band, photography, drama, and vocal and instrumental music. The school supports various sports activities that include baseball, lacrosse, tennis, softball, volleyball, soccer and track. Saint Marys Hall, located in San Antonio, is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest.
