Key Program's mission is to help troubled youth and their families. Its programs are grounded in a strength-based philosophy and the focus is on unlocking the individual potential of each teen. Services and activities include family support services, hygiene and personal care, violence prevention activities and more. They accept most major insurances.
Based in Framingham, The Knox Trail Council of Boy Scouts of America serves three districts of Scouts in MetroWest and Central Massachusetts.
The Liberty District, which includes Framingham, also includes Ashland, Holliston, Maynard, Natick, Sherborn, Stow, Sudbury, & Wayland.
The Knox Trail Council is the consolidation of the Norumbega and Algonquin Councils in 1996.
The Council also manages the E. Paul Robsham Scout Reservation in Bolton and the Nobscot Scout Reservation - in Framingham/Sudbury.
Nationally, the Boy Scouts just celebrated its 100th year.
Scouts participate in Den and Troop meetings, go on outings, earn badges, do community service, and go camping.
Catering to the athletic pursuits of the Framingham community and beyond, the Metrowest YMCA is dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The many programs the Y offers includes swimming, a wellness center, basketball, music, dance, mind/body/spirit and many more, for families and individuals of all ages. Fees are inexpensive compared to private facilities, and there is financial assistance available.
