The Boy Scouts of America has been in existence since 1910 and has more than 110 million members throughout the country. Pam Piper manages this busy Lawrenceville location. It holds troop meetings and sells uniforms of all sizes, camping equipment, and all sorts of Boy Scout paraphernalia. It is located at the end of Swanson Drive.
One of the 26 clubs in the 11-county Metro Atlanta area, the Lawrenceville Boys & Girls Club offers safe, structured afterschool activities for students ages six to 18. There are facilities for tennis, basketball and baseball, and classes in self-defense skills are also available. Student mentoring and a parents' association are also part of the program. Membership cost is $35/year and payment must be made by money order.
