First Parish in Framingham is a Unitarian Universalist Congregation located next to the Town Green. The church's history dates back to the founding of Framingham in 1700.

The spiritual leader of the Congregation is Rev. Kathleen Hepler. The congregation hold weekly services on Sundays at 9:15 and 11am Sept. through May. 10 am services are available from Memorial day through August.

First Parish offers many opportunities to connect, deepen and serve for youth and adults. Religious exploration programs for pre-k through grade 8, and youth groups for teenagers. Childcare is available during both services. First Parish is very active with social action work groups, fellowship events, spiritual journey groups and more. The congregation has a choir, children's choir, handbell choir and youth chimes choir.

Tamaz started dancing at age 7 in Georgia (USSR). Ilana started dancing at age 6 in Lithuania (USSR). Since then, competition has been a regular part of their lives. They were always among the top finalists in competitions in Israel and Russia. In the 1990s their families immigrated to Israel.Tamaz and Ilana met in Israel and started dancing together. Six months later they placed 2nd in the National Championship in Israel. They continued to compete in Israel and regularly placed among the top three finalists in ballroom and latin. Tamaz and Ilana also taught children at one of the biggest dance schools in Israel and their student competitors always placed among the top 3 finalists. In 1997 Tamaz and Ilana were invited to New York City to coach at a major studio. During their six months in New York, they competed in several competitions, winning 3rd place in Standard at the North Eastern Championship and 1st place in Latin at the Open Championship. Soon after, they won first place in international competition. Tamaz and Ilana traveled around the world competing and taking lessons with top teachers. Their students continue to compete with great success. After winning a national championship, Tamaz and Ilana stopped dancing competitively for a time. They got married and had a baby their daughter Shelly. A few months afterward they were again invited to the United States, this time to teach in one of the prestigious Fred Astaire Dance Studios. They have been with Fred Astaire for five years. Not long ago they had their second child, a son named Sean. Soon after their son was born, they decided to open their own studio in Framingham, MA.
