Village Beer and Fine Wine is known throughout Montgomery County for its excellent selection of wine and craft beer. The wines come from vineyards all across the globe. Selections are in three categories based on score, price and availability: Best Values, great wine with a modest price; Smart Buys, fine wine with an affordable price; and Highly Recommended, wine that's really impressive. There are monthly specials and coupons. VBFW often offers 10 percent off mixed cases of wine.
Belgian and American craft beers are a specialty of VBFW's. Baltimore's Clipper City and its Heavy Seas series are popular. Other featured beers include Chimay, Flying Dog, Peroni, Wild Goose and Leffe.
Wine and beer accessories are also available. The selection includes Reidal wine glasses, openers, gift bags and wine-preserving pumps. There is also a limited selection of fine cigars.
Every weekend, VBFW hosts tastings with drinks from various vineyards and breweries, followed by a discussion. The tastings are from 4pm to 7pm.
Rollin Deli is a small shop that sells beer, wine and liquor. It has a large selection of wine and a small seating area, so you can sample some of your selections before purchasing.
Potomac Beer & Wine is located in northern Rockville, near Shady Groove. The store carries a wide selection of beer and wines. Customers can also pre-order kegs.
Local residents know Tiger Beer Wine & Deli for its large selection of popular beer and wine. Tiger keeps a large selection of popular domestic and imported wines. There is sufficient variety of wines to interesting selections without having to worry about making duplicate purchases.
The beer selection has ample supplies of popular domestic and imported brands. Mixed in with this stock is harder to find brands that are usually found in speciality stories. There are regular beer specials.
Amongst all this is the grill, which is kept busy with breakfast and lunch customers. The morning offerings include breakfast sandwiches, omelets, French toast and pancakes. Side orders are English muffins, home fries, scrapple, ham, bacon and sausage.
The lunch menu has a large selection of sandwiches and salads. Hamburgers, pulled Pork, reubens, gilled cheese, tuna melt and cheesesteaks come off the grill daily.
