Located in the Oak Knoll District, Monticello Vineyards was established in 1970 by Jay Corley. After 40 years of winemaking, the Corley family continues Jay's legacy in Napa Valley. Jay's son Kevin is winegrower and president, Chris is winemaker, and Stephen is director of wine sales. The family continues Jay's "sunshine to wine" philosophy for farming, harvesting, and fermenting. Grapes are grown in the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah varietals on five small vineyard sites in the Oak Knoll, Yountville, Rutherford and St. Helena appellations. Ten Estate's signature wine is Corley Proprietary Red Wine, infused with aromas of blueberry, blackberry, with floral and oak tones. Its rich body finishes sweet with a lingering smoky flavor.
