Tampa Bay Water is a special district created by interlocal agreement to supply wholesale water to Hillsborough County, Pasco County, Pinellas County, St. Petersburg, New Port Richey and Tampa, Fla. The company provides wholesale water to its member utilities, who in turn provide water to more than 2 million people in the tri-county area. Through state-of-the art operations, science and technology programs, such as the decision support system and optimized regional operations plan, it is able to gather all of the information needed to make decisions on the most effective and efficient ways of operating and managing its current groundwater, surface water and desalinated supplies.
