Established in 1968, the Bloomington Area Career Center offers a variety of vocational programs. The center provides students with an opportunity to acquire required knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to become a productive professional. It offers classes in computer repairs, automotive technologies, computer networking, construction trades, architecture, cosmetology, criminal justice, culinary arts, marketing and digital media. The Bloomington Area Career Center provides scholarships and personal and group counseling services. Its programs admit the students of several local high schools. The center offers various awards and recognitions to outstanding students. It publishes newsletters and is located in Bloomington, Ill.
