The Academy of Radio Broadcasting, established more than 20 years ago, offers a seven-month training program. It provides practical training in real broadcast studios with small workshop type classes and state-of-the-art television production studios. Its radio broadcasting course cover vocal coaching, radio programming, commercial and news production, sports casting, copywriting, station management and broadcast sales. The academy s television course is an extensive experience in fully equipped studios and on location. The experience includes use of the latest broadcast cameras, linear and nonlinear editing, commercial lighting, audio techniques, news writing and reporting and scriptwriting. It has an average placement rate of over 80 percent and a lifelong career support from the academy. The Academy of Radio Broadcasting has several locations in California including a campus in Huntington Beach.
