The Shop is a resale store that raises funds for the Junior League of Palo Alto - Mid Peninsula (JLPA-MP), an organization of women who dedicate their time to improving peoples' lives through philanthropic endeavors.

More than 13,500 female members serve 16 communities statewide. They focus on family support, foster care, education, health care, domestic abuse and more.

Owl Talk is a boutique clothing store on the corner of Eagle Rock Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard. It has been in business for more than 15 years and has a good reputation among locals for being a fun and interesting place to shop. There is a wide selection of both vintage and contemporary clothing and accessories, including dresses, purses, blouses, pants, shoes and belts. There are many jewelry items as well, like pendants, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Owl Talk also offers consignment services. Many items can be viewed and purchased on its Web site.

The Pleasanton Discovery Shop, benefiting the American Cancer Society, has been a member of the community since 1989. A local hot spot for bargain-hunters in search of classic and contemporary fashion, the Discovery Shop also features a variety of artwork, collectibles and household items.

The Furniture Shop five doors down in the Mission Plaza shopping center displays a collection of larger pieces. All proceeds from the store goes to support the work and mission of the American Cancer Society.
