About Hometown Animal Hospital and its services: Dr. Bellows is one of six board certified companion animal specialists in Broward County, plus one of seventy board certified veterinary dentists in the United States. He practiced in Pembroke Pines for over twenty years before opening Hometown Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic in February 2000. Hometown Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic is an American Animal Hospital Association Certified Specialty Facility. Dr. David Bellows is a veterinary graduate from St. Georges University. Prior to attending veterinary school, he worked in the veterinary pharmaceutical field for four years after graduating from the University of Central Florida. He cares for a wonderful Boxer mix dog named Girlie and Charlie. His father, Dr. Jan Bellows, has been a practicing veterinarian for 36 years. Most of his fondest memories are growing up in his veterinary practice surrounded by pets such as yours. Dr. Elizabeth K. McMorran, born and raised in Germany, joined Hometown Animal Hospital in April 2011. She is currently completing the residency requirements for the American Veterinary Dental College. After completing her veterinary degree at the University of Munich, she gained clinical experience at the University of Minnesotas Veterinary Medical Center. Her hobbies include walking, sightseeing and exploring southern Florida with her husband Siegfried and their dogs Luggi and Korbinian. Dr. Hannah Duranleau was born and raised in Washington, Vermont. After starting her career as a Certified Veterinary Technician, Dr. Duranleau continued her education at the University of Florida while working at both the large and small animal departments at the veterinary school. She continued her post-graduate studies at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts, returning to UF for her final, clinical year and earning her DVM in 2013.
