About Brook Brook Venture Partners provides venture capital financing to expansion stage companies in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic US. Our primary industry focus is the Information Technology and Medical Technology sectors, with initial investments typically under $10 million. We are currently investing from our second fund, Brook II, a $100 million Small Business Investment Company ( SBIC ) and are actively managing our fully invested Brook Fund I portfolio as well as our co-investment limited partnerships through which we make both minority and full buy out private equity investments. Brook Fund II provides financing to expansion stage companies which are at, or near, cash flow break-even at the time of the investment. Investment dollars from Brook II are targeted to support the accelerated business development and sales growth of portfolio companies effectively scaling an already proven model to help these companies capitalize on their respective market opportunities. We are typically the lead investor and play an active role in building strong, outside-dominated boards where investors and industry experts add significant value to companies. Brook is actively focused on exits and begins guiding portfolio companies towards a future exit beginning at the time of investment. Our team is highly focused on sales & marketing acceleration and works with the portfolio companies to maximize lead generation, sales conversion rates and overall sales and marketing activity.
