Located along the Manayunk Canal, the Ivy Ridge Station is one of three stops along SEPTA's Manayunk-Norristown Regional Rail line in Manayunk. With long-term (but not overnight) parking for commuters to Center City and the suburbs, the free lot has 291 spaces. The lot is built around a former train platform, with a stairwell leading to the current track. The line, also called the R-6, runs from Norristown to 30th Street Station in Center City.
Ivy Ridge has a connecting bus service to SEPTA route 61 but does not have a ticket machine or office.
Mount Airy Station is a stop on SEPTA's R7 Regional Rail train, which terminates at Chestnut Hill East Station. Its fare zone is regional rail zone 2. Walk a Crooked Mile, a used bookstore, is located inside the station building. Trains into Center City generally stop at the station during the week every half-hour from 6:02am to 9:36am before arriving about every hour throughout the day until 5:27pm, when trains arrive about every half-hour until 7:30pm. Trains then arrive about every hour until 12:27am. Trains to Chestnut Hill East stop at the station during the week at 7:23am and 8:04am before making stops approximately every hour until 4:47pm. Trains then start stopping more frequently—about every half-hour—until 7:50pm, when they arrive about every hour until 1:36am. On the weekend and on holidays, trains going into Center City generally stop at the station on the 41s from 6:41am to 10:41pm. Trains going to Chestnut Hill East generally stop on the 12s from 7:12am until just after midnight.
