Middleton Place Restaurant is a portrait of Southern plantation dining. Dishes served are reminiscent of traditional Low Country fare, but come to the table in contemporary presentation. This menu highlights the African and coastal colonial influences of this cuisine, featuring recipes with such diverse ingredients as she-crabs, collard greens, okra and grits. The menu is composed of local, organic ingredients, changing through according to season. The restaurant is located on the grounds of the historic Middleton Place estate and gardens.
Recognized as America's most photographed plantation, Boone Hall is still an active plantation producing strawberries, pumpkins and tomatoes. It is currently owned and operated by members of the McRae family, who are committed to providing a 1800s plantation atmosphere for visitors. Admission includes the "Exploring Gullah Culture" performance, butterfly pavilion and plantation house tour.
