The State Theater located on Northampton Street in Easton showcases quality performances in theater, music and stand-up comedy. Box, balcony and orchestra seating is available. The State also hosts many high school theater productions and holds an awards program for high school drama.
The State Theatre Center for The Arts is the largest venue in downtown Easton. Originally the theatre was built for vaudeville in 1926. Since then it has been converted into a movie theatre, a rock convert venue and finally, in the 1990's, into the State Theatre for The Arts. The Palmer Volunteer Fire Company is a non-profit fire & rescue organization that has been serving the community for more than 35 years. Its building and vehicles are funded by the local taxpayers of the township. Its fleet of emergency response vehicles consists of eight trucks and the organization is 18 members strong. This location is one of two stations. The other station is on Freemansburg Avenue, also in Easton.
