Established and incorporated in 1982, Valley Electric was founded by Patti and Ernie Ward. The company is based in Mount Vernon, Wash. It has grown to serve the Northwest with particular emphasis in the states of Washington and Oregon. Valley Electric is a woman-owned contractor. In 1994, Valley Electric Company earned the distinction of becoming the first woman-owned electrical contractor to successfully graduate from Washington State s womens business enterprise/minority business enterprise certification program. The company s first projects ranged from costing $1,000 to $75,000. Valley Electric has grown to work on projects that top out in the multimillion-dollar category.
