Established in 1946, Temple Beth El is a center for Jewish Spirituality. Based in Bakersfield, Calif., the temple offers a number of worship and holiday programs and services along with life cycle events. It also provides study services and programs, such as library, adult education, bar/bat mitzvah, religious school, Hebrew school, torah study and HaGan, to name a few. Some of its community programs include sisterhood, youth groups and interfaith. Temple Beth El offers membership opportunities and is a member of Union for Reform Judaism.
