Since its founding, Congregation Beth Emek has shared its vibrant Jewish heritage with the greater Tri-Valley, serving the communities of Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon and Tracy. Beth Emek or "The House of the Valley" is a place for Jewish people to meet, study, learn and celebrate.
The congregation is affiliated with the Reform movement, but welcomes individuals and families of all religious backgrounds in it's programs. It's mission is to "provide for the social welfare of the members of the congregation and to support the principles of righteousness and brotherhood in society at large." In fulfillment of this mission, the congregation offers worship and celebration services, youth and continuing adult education, small group support, service opportunities, charity fundraisers and a wealth of other community-centric events.
Congregation B'nai Tikvah is a Reform Congregation (member of the Union for Reform Judaism) founded by eighteen charter families in 1981 and with a current membership of 300 plus families. It is the goal of the Congregation, through personal attention to its members' diverse backgrounds and needs, to provide an extended family to its members that will fulfill their spiritual needs, foster their Jewish identity and promote the perpetuation of Judaism and its members' Jewish education. The Congregation encourages a commitment by each member, married or single, working in the home, outside the home or retired, to full participation in Temple life.
Congregation B'nai Tikvah holds services at the following times:
Most Friday night services begin at 6:30 pm, with the first Friday of the month being the Congregation's Family Shabbat service.
On the third Friday of the month, services begin at 7:30 pm.
The Congregations provides a number of programs for youths, adults, families and seniors. Check the Web site for a schedule of services and activities.
Young Israel of Northridge is a Torah observant Jewish congretational temple. It offers many educational programs for children, teens and adults. There are also many social activities for the whole family.
Located on Burbank Blvd, The Adat Ari El Synagogue has been serving the needs of North Hollywood's Conservative Jewish population for well over 70 years. Notable members of this well-established institution include known community and local leaders. Since 1941, the synagogue has provided traditional Shabbat evening and morning services as well as Minyan and religious school seminars.
Women of the congregation are encouraged to become members of the synagogue's Sisterhood which is affiliated with The National Women's League for Conservative Judaism. Under its umbrella organization, the sisters of the synagogue offer various programs and seminars to strengthen relationships between congregation members as well as engage in community service.
Adat Ari is also a place for traditional Bar Mitzvahs. An Early Childhood Center and a Day School also comprise the establishment's vast grounds.
