Oklahoma Turnpike Authority is a division of the state of Oklahoma that was established in 1947. The authority is authorized to construct, maintain, repair and operate turnpike projects at locations authorized by the legislature of the state and approved by the states Department of Transportation. The turnpike authority has established a toll-free number for residents to call and report highway littering incidents. It also offers PIKEPASS programs, an electronic toll collection system developed and implemented for the Oklahoma Turnpike System. PIKEPASS provides totally automated travel on Oklahoma turnpikes. The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority receives revenues from tolls and a percentage of the concession sales. The authority operates more than five turnpikes in state that covers over 600 miles.

The Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority was created by legislation in 1985. Through the use of Oklahoma Gas & Electric s transmission system and a long-term contract with Florida Power and Light Energy, OMPA owns, purchases and transmits wind electricity output from 34 General Electric 1.5- megawatt turbines from the Oklahoma Wind Energy Center located northeast of Woodward, Okla.

The Grand River Dam Authority s primary job is to control, store and preserve, within the boundaries of the district, the water of the Grand River and its tributaries for any useful purpose. GRDA fulfills its responsibilities by operating three hydroelectric facilities and managing two lakes along the Grand River system. These facilities, along with the GRDA Coal-Fired Complex (thermal generation), combine for a total generation capability of 1,480 megawatts (MW). GRDA transmits and delivers this wholesale electricity across its 24-county service area in northeast Oklahoma via sophisticated energy delivery systems. GRDA sells electricity to three customer classes: municipals, electric cooperatives and industries.
