Operational for more than 50 years, Ryan Air Attack Base specializes in providing wild land fire suppression services in Southern California and Riverside County, Calif. It provides initial attack aircraft services to more than 15,000 square miles of private, state and federally owned land. The base s fleet features tankers and helicopters and offers wild land fire suppression services. Ryan Air Attack Base is a part of the Riverside County Fire Department, which provides firefighting and emergency medical services. The Riverside County Fire Department features fire engines, ambulances and squad cars. It maintains a staff of paramedic personnel who are trained in the areas of cardiac, trauma and pediatric life support. The department operates several facilities, including fire stations, conservation camps and automotive shops.
