Diamond Sports Training seems like just another aluminum sided building in the 24th St. Business Park, but once inside the door it is a whole new world. Take me out to the ballgame becomes real when visitors take one look at an actual life-size infield complete with bases, lines and fences to mark the home-run. This sports center is a club based organization where teams can practice, participate in try-outs or just watch as a fan. Sports equipment can also be purchased inside the facility and if a visitor or team member needs any help, Jay Garthwaite, Director of Team Development, is there to help.
Impact Sports Academy is a sports facility that hosts fitness classes and competitions for area residents of all ages and athletic abilities. Additionally, Impact Sports Academy offers personal training, maintains a full gym and organizes after-school athletic leagues for local kids.
Safeco Field is a stadium located in Seattle, Washington. Safeco Field is currently home to the MLB team the Seattle Mariners. The stadium opened on July 15, 1999 with the construction taking just over two years at a cost of just over $517 million, about $730 million in today’s dollars. A retractable roof covers the field and seating areas, however it does not full enclose the stadium.
The Seattle Mariners have three West Division titles and are members of the West Division of the American League within MLB. They are known by their team colors consisting of blue, teal and white. The current owner of the Mariners is Nintendo of America.
The stadium currently holds 47,476 fans. There are 161 luxury suites and over 5,700 seats at the club level. Currently, it is the seventh smallest stadium in MLB in terms of seating capacity.
In terms of parking there are several options: the Safeco Field Garage and CenturyLink Garage are closest to the stadium. General Parking is available in the Union Station Garage. There is also disabled parking available.
