James Lee Community Center (JLCC) is one of the most active and vibrant centers in Fairfax County. JLCC is a large, clean and fun facility with lots of outdoor activities. JLCC has baseball fields, a football field, tennis and basketball courts, a playground for kids and plenty of space for your outdoor activities. The inside of JLCC is spacious, inviting and usually filled with kids and families. All kinds of community services and classes are available at JLCC. The building plays host to Literacy Council of Northern Virginia where adult English classes are offered. Other offerings include cheerleading, basketball leagues, a computer club house and shows from local theater troupes. It's a great place for family and kids.
Bailey's Community Center is run by the Fairfax County Department of Community and Recreation. The center has something for all members of the family. There are after-school activities, as well as sports and mentoring programs.
All participants must be Fairfax County residents. The facility and nearly all programs are free, except for trips and some senior programs. Located in the Bailey's area of Falls Church, it is conveniently located to nearby homes. For further details on programs, call or visit the center.
Sleepy Hollow Bath & Racquet Club opened in 1956 as a private club and it was sold four years later to the community. Since then, this summer-only club has been offering a place for families to have fun and exercise. It features nine tennis courts, Olympic-sized and children-only pools, gazebos and picnic areas. Membership is required.
The International Driving Education School in Falls Church teaches driving lessons to Virginia residents 19 years of age and older.
All students must have either a learners permit or possess an international drivers license. International Driving Education School students use Toyota Corollas for their lessons. International Driving Education School offer senior citizen discounts, will pick up students at their homes and has staff that speak Spanish and Portuguese.
Falls Church Driving School provides courses for teens and adult drivers who need improvement. Behind-the-wheel and classroom courses are available. Instruction in Spanish is available.
