The Professional Driving School in Avon Lake serves the Lorain and Cuyahoga counties of northeast Ohio. It provides quality driving instruction while accommodating most busy schedules using state-approved programs for teenagers between the age of 15 years 5 months and 18 years old. Twenty-four hours of classroom time and eight hours behind the wheel instruction is available at competitive rates. For adults, an eight-hour intensive driving course with maneuverability included is offered. Students are picked up at home and all behind-the-wheel instruction is private. The only time there is more than one student in the vehicle is during drop-off and pick-up. Students may enroll and pay online or by calling the number provided.
The Avon Lake pool in Bleser Park is also known as the Ellen Trivanovich Aquatic Center. Admission is restricted to residents and their guests (maximum two per visit).
The pool season is mid-June through Labor Day from 11am until 8pm. Learn-to-Swim programs are offered Monday through Friday before 11am. Pool passes and lessons may be purchased online after June 9th or at the facility during regular business hours.
This new facility has a lazy river, spray ground, two water slides and one family slide. It is recommended that residents buy their pass online and upload their own photos to print out a temporary pool pass and avoid long lines at the beginning of the season.
Heights Driving School in Avon Lake is located in the Pin Oak Plaza and provides driver education training programs that have been approved and licensed by the Department of Public Safety. Instructors are professionally trained, certified and licensed by the State of Ohio.
