Top Driver is the largest driving school in the United States, with more than 80 driving schools in four states. It uses an interactive approach to driving, and programs are taught by experienced instructors. Classes are available for teens and adults, and online scheduling and e-mailed reminders are provided for clients' convenience. Inside an unassuming brick building off Stephenson Highway, Modern Skate & Surf Skate Park provides a haven for skateboarders, BMX bikers and inline skaters. It offers memberships and lessons, and you can even rent out the park for special events. Make sure to check the calendar because the Park has certain nights that are genre-specific.
Berkley Ice Arena is located at the Community Center Complex in south Berkley. This facility offers a variety of activities, including public skating and private lessons. Public skating times change, so it is best to call in advance.
Skating lessons are available for all levels and ages, including adults and children. Figure skating lessons and exhibitions are also held here. Hockey is available on a variety of levels as well. Adult and youth leagues (of varying ages, including pee wee) and pickup hockey are also available.
The arena can also be rented for birthday parties, holiday or corporate events. The facility also includes a concession stand for food and drinks. Skate rental and skate sharpening services are available.
Credit cards are not accepted by the arena, but can be accepted on behalf of the arena by the Community Center, which is in the same building.
