Founded in 1995, Hat World operates more than 800 mall-based, airport, street and factory outlet stores in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The parent company operates under the Hat World, Lids Kids, Hit Shack, Hat Zone, Head Quarters and Cap Connection retail brands. It is subsidiary of Genesco.
