The Boston Athletic Association is a non-profit organization that manages athletic events and promotes a healthy lifestyle through sports, with a focus on running. Founded in 1887, the B.A.A has organized the Boston Marathon held yearly, with the starting point in the center of Hopkinton. The B.A.A provides other programs including a running club, youth programs, training programs, half-marathons, and many more.
