Ankeny Dance has been voted best academy in Ankeny every year since 2006. Dance classes include jazz, ballet, tumbling, tap and others. Ankeny Dance has been offering top quality dance lessons to residents for more than 30 years.
Prairie Ridge Family Aquatic Center features heated water, zero-depth entry, 150- and 140-foot water slides, a splash deck, a lilypad walk, and a family slide. Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center also offers lap swimming, water walking and swimming lessons. Plus, there are family changing rooms, concessions, a grass area for sunbathing, chaise lounge chairs and in-pool shade. It is also available for private parties.
The Splash Park features a series of above-ground water play features, below-ground jetsprays, geysers and fountains on a flat splash pad area. It opens at 10:45am weekdays, earlier than the main pool areas. Weekends it has the same hours as the main pool areas.
