At this studio located next to the Village Homes Community Center in West Davis, ballet is the basic prerequisite. Mastery of its fundamental classical techniques is recommended by Applegate teachers before students attempt other dance forms. Applegate stages several dance productions every year at Veterans Memorial Theatre, which feature short creative interpretations of such ballet classics as the Cinderalla Ballet and the Firebird. Dance technique/artistry, costumes, lighting and sets involved in these productions have, over the years, received consistently positive reviews.

Davis Fencing Academy teaches the combative sport of fencing with foil, sword and epee. It offers private and group lessons. This fencing academy also meets California State Standards for high school PE credit. To attend classes, you must pay a monthly fee of $50 plus the cost of classes. Non-members can come use the floor for $10 dollars a day.

Crossfit is less like a gym and more like a professional training experience. The space has no treadmills, no machines. Crossfit offers the open space of a gym and free weights. Clients work out with trainers and are pushed, focusing on ten different physical skills. If someone is interested in joining they have to seek approval from one of the Crossfit instructors: if you are considered in need of work, you have to work out at another gym or try the On Ramp class (like boot camp) before you can join a regular classes. Crossfit also offers free introductory classes to get questions answered and to try one of the workouts to see if it's right for you.

Built in 1938 and named for legendary UC Davis football coach Vern Hickey, the Art Deco Gym is located next to the Memorial Union and the main Unitrans bus terminal in the heart of campus. There are practice spaces are configured for basketball, wrestling, volleyball and fencing teams. The Lower Hickey Gym was remodeled in 2005 to accommodate the UCD Women's Gymnastics Team. The UCD Swim Team practices and hosts intercollegiate meets in outdoor Hickey Pool.  Ballet, jazz, and improv dance classes are held by the UCD Department of Dance in the gym's spacious mirror-walled studio.

Rocknasium, located at the west end of Olive Drive, is a long standing Davis institution; it is an indoor rock wall gym, and while it is hardly esthetically pleasing from the outside, it contains plenty of fun on the interior for people of all ages and skill levels. The gym has huge lofted ceilings, allowing for a number of climbing walls of all levels. Rocknasium is well known for their lack of pretentiousness, treating beginners and seasoned veterans with the same amount of respect. They offer rentals for shoes, harnesses and chalkbags, as well as classes and memberships of differing durations. In addition, there is a small fitness room, a pro-shop selling all sorts of climbing gear and a front counter where you can buy an assortment of energy enhancing products. Both of the owners are often on hand and take an active role in training, teaching and helping with all aspects of the day to day fun.
