The Patriot-News provides news and information to residents of Harrisburg, Pa., and the surrounding area. It has a circulation of more than 100,000 daily and 160,000 on Sunday. The newspaper s history dates to 1854 when two weekly papers were combined to form The Daily Patriot and Union, which reported extensively on the Civil War.
