Founded in 1911, National Council of Teachers offers advance teaching, research and student achievement in English language arts at all scholastic levels and is located in Urbana, Ill. Its writing initiative is a new public service campaign to support practices in the teaching of writing across all disciplines and increase policymakers and the publics knowledge about the teaching of writing.
