The Southdowns Pre-School Center is an educational facility that serves children with and without disabilities between the ages of 3 and 4. The school manages a parent-teacher organization that sponsors activities, as well as offers instruction in reading and physical education. It provides before- and after-care and transportation services. The Southdowns Pre-School Center also administers a special education program. The school offers speech, occupational and physical therapies, as well as manages a parent center that features information related to special programs. In addition, it organizes field days, concerts and festivals. The Southdowns Pre-School Center is managed by the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.
