In 1999, the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM) was created to allow immunization managers to work together in preventing and controlling vaccine-preventable diseases. The members of AIM are representatives of one of the 50 U.S. states or territories that receive grants from the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. AIM collaborates with its partners across the nation in preventing, reducing and eliminating diseases by vaccines.
The Saddle Ridge Circle Community Center is the recreational center for residents of the King Farm community. The 1,200-square-foot center has a pool, exercise facilities, and community and club rooms. The 1,500-square-foot club room is available for parties and social events for residents. King Farm has two pools, the Balleys Common Pool and the Community Center Pool. Balley's is located at 920 Crestfield, and the center pool is at the Community Center on Saddle Ridge Circle.
Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children is a non-profit organization which endeavors to provide neglected and abused children with safe homes under the supervision and support of the court and community. Montgomery County Coalition for The Homeless provides permanent and transitional housing, emergency shelter and support services. Other priorities include coordinating advocacy, program and educational efforts. This includes spearheading an effort to end homelessness in the county.
MCCH programs seek to help chronically homeless adults and formerly homeless individuals and families settle into housing. This includes transitional and permanent housing. Safe havens, care and treatment for the mentally ill are also part of the mission
The MCCH is a community-based nonprofit organization started in the 1980s with an informal network of shelters, soup kitchens, government officials and church congregations. The effort was officially incorporated in 1990. It's funded by government contracts and private donations.
King Farm Citizens' Assembly is responsible for the management and operations of the neighborhood's residential areas. The fee-based group also enforces appearance standards and maintenance of common areas. The KFCA is a five-member board with three elected officials and two members appointed by the developer. Residents are empowered to elect the board president. KFCA's day-to-day responsibilities are handled by real estate management company Legum & Norman.
