Social Services in Downers Grove, Illinois

Since 1986, Sharing Connections has been helping families who are unable to help themselves at the time. Providing furniture for those who need, Sharing Connections bridges the gap between those who have stuff to give and those who would do well to receive. Since 2001, Sharing Connections has been servicing the community from its current location in Downers Grove.

Also known as SEASPAR, the association provides year round recreation services for individuals of all ages with disabilities. Its office is located in the Recreation Center and the programs are offered in conjunction with the Downers Grove Park District along with the Village of Brookfield, Clarendon Hills Park District, Darien Park District, Village of Indian Head Park, Community Park District of LaGrange, Lisle Park District, Village of Western Springs, Westmont Park District and the Woodridge Park District.

They offer a wide array of activities including, swimming, scuba diving, ice skating, music, theatre, horseback riding, gymastics, basketball and many other specials events including the Special Olympics.There is a full schedule of all events online or stop by the Recreation Center and pick up a brochure. Scholarships are available.
