Founded in 1891, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco serves more than 12,000 youth in over seven club sites, and a summer camp in Mendocino County, Calif. It offers access to health services, daily homework assistance and tutoring, and specialized programs for young girls and teens. The clubs offers five-core program initiatives including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development, and education and career development. Its programs include youth of the year, keystone club, torch club, community service, power hour homework assistance, career preparation, junior achievement, technology centers, literacy, fine arts contest, national photography contest, creative writing, judo, and swimming.
