The Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department is one of the largest sheriffs departments in the world and focuses on providing a wide range of crime prevention services. In addition to specialized services, such as the sheriffs youth foundation, international liaison and employee support services, the department is divided into more than 10 divisions, each controlled and supervised by a division chief. It has various service divisions, including patrol divisions, custody operations and correctional services divisions, and detective and court services divisions. The Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department also includes a range of other service divisions, such as technical services, office of homeland security, administrative services, and leadership and training divisions.
