Interfaith Hospitality Network's Second Circle Family Shelter, in conjunction with its sister house in Washington, Penn., is an interdenominational public-service program. It links local congregations to offer 24-hour shelter, meals and social services to homeless families. The shelter welcomes husbands and wives -- including common-law spouses -- with or without children, single parents with children, and legal guardians or custodial relatives with children.
