Family House, founded in 1987, is a nonprofit, residential long-term care facility that serves more than 50 senior citizens and people with disabilities in Milwaukee. The facility offers emergency, respite and residential programs for over 500 senior citizens annually. It administers summer and after-school programs for children. Family House also provides opportunities to participate in a selection of activities, such as walking, outings and watching movies. The facility offers participation options in gardening, resident birthday parties and exercises, as well as manages a resident council. In addition, it provides classes in arts and crafts. Family House features a garden and nearly five living units.

Located in the rear of Bay Shore Lutheran church. Interfaith is a program designed to assist older adults who don't have the support system of family, friends or neighbors otherwise. Here they are able to provide transportation services, escort members to docotor appointments, assist in grocery shopping, advocacy and more. Since its beginning in 1973, they have become a countywide Neighborhood Outreach Program with more than 14 offices.
