Shadow Mountain has the unique distinction of being the original Coachella Valley golf course. Built in 1958, the course also remains one of the area's most challenging. 1930s golf legend Gene Sarazen constructed the par-70, 18-hole monster. The result is a classic course, sheltered from wind and riddled with sand traps and tree hazards. The course was once associated with a community, but now it is privately maintained by members.
Oasis is a private community, built around 662 homes. The country club is home to 18 holes and all the modern practice facilities that go with the game. There are also 18 pools and spas on site. Oasis has three different tennis facilities and a 24-hour fitness center. Two private restaurants are also available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Oasis remains a popular destination for Canadian and American homeowners and their guests or renters.
Woodhaven is a semi-private golf community. Membership is available on a weekly, monthly and annual level. The course features 18 holes plus full practice facilities. A restaurant, located in the clubhouse, is also available. The club also has eight tennis courts, with instruction. Racquetball and fitness facilities are also available to members.
