Located on the edge of town near the main location of the Book Barn, Charlie's Place is a local haunt with Sunday games broadcasted a big screen television and plenty of beer in the separate lounge. Offering a warm and friendly atmosphere, Charlie's Place also features a restaurant on one side, far enough from the bar to be suitable for families. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all available, with dinner entrees including pasta, steak, seafood and Greek specialties. Lunch specials are offered daily, and Saturday night is Prime Rib Night.
Nestled in a small strip of stores at the corner of New Haven Avenue and Gulf Street, Dragon Garden III serves lunch and dinner. It specializes in Szechuan, Hunan and Cantonese cuisine, with dishes featuring poultry, seafood, pork, beef and veggies, altered to each patron's spiciness tolerance. Dragon Garden III offers delivery for orders of $10 or more.
Tucked away in an ornate Victorian home in a small industrial pocket of Stonington Borough, Zack's is a pub-style restaurant with a full bar. Along with such menu items as Grilled Pub Steak and Bourbon Pepper London Broil Wrap are such traditional New England favorites as chowder, lobster roll, and pot pie. Weekly specials are offered as well. Zack's serves lunch and dinner, with both table and bar seating.
Dockside Seafood & Grill is located in the heart of Bruce and Johnson's Marina, offering views of the harbor from the restaurant's screened-in deck and outdoor seating. Inside, there is a fully-stocked bar and seating for large parties. Dockside Seafood & Grill is owned by two sisters who have had the restaurant featured on television multiple times. Fresh seafood, including lobster and fish and chips, and a great view is what patrons will get at Dockside Seafood & Grill.
Captain's Catch has been open since 2003. It is in a small strip of stores across from the Adam's plaza. Owners Dawn and Tom Ramadon offer fresh seafood and more at affordable prices for take-out or eat-in. Captain's Catch has some tables along the front window and a small counter with stools for eating in, as well as a small dining room with about 10 tables and a nautical decor. Captain's Catch offers a number of $5 lunch specials. There is an early bird special Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11am to 4pm.
