Founded in 1919, Roger Williams University is one of the leading, independent, coeducational liberal arts educational systems in the United States. The university has an annual enrollment of more than 5,000 students. It offers graduate and undergraduate programs in business administration, architectural studies and engineering. Roger Williams University also maintains library that offers a variety of educational resources. The university provides opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports activities, such as cheerleading, hockey, volleyball and rugby. Roger Williams University is situated on 140 acres of costal land on the Mount Hope Bay. It offers 40 undergraduate academic degree programs and is ranked number 8 in the top 10 comprehensive colleges in the North by U.S. News & World Report.

As a liberal arts school, all students are required to complete core classes and a core concentration in addition to courses in their area of study. This university also offers 92 clubs and organizations, and 20 varsity sports.

The campus is made up of various schools, including the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Marine and Natural Science, and the new Global Heritage Hall. Roger Williams University also has the Dining Commons, a bookstore, library, mail room, career center and recreation center, to name a few of the facilities.

Campus housing options include six on campus buildings, two off-campus buildings and are available to all incoming freshman.

The administrative offices of the Bristol Warren regional school district is located across the street from the Bristol Town Common in the former Oliver School building. The offices of Superintendent Melinda Thies and Assistant Superintendent Mario Andrade are located on the first floor of the building.

Departments within the building include human resources, payroll, finance, accounts payable/ receivable, curriculum, reading and people personnel services.

Roger Williams University School of Law provides diploma and degree programs in law. Its academic curriculum includes civil procedure, constitutional law, contracts, criminal law, criminal procedure, evidence, legal methods, professional responsibility, property and torts. Its elective courses include administrative and banking law, business organizations, civil rights, consumer protection, domestic violence, education law, intellectual property, products liability, sales, secured transactions, military law and wills and trusts. Rockwell School began as a small schoolhouse in the 1950s and has since evolved into one of three public elementary schools located in Bristol. 

Today, Rockwell is a high-performing elementary school offering Bristol students engaged learning in small classes. In addition to foundation curriculum offerings, students learn music, art, health, physical education and reading.

Colt Andrews School is one of three K-5 elementary schools for children in Bristol. The school is made up of two buildings. Colt school being the most historical, was built in 1906 and was used as a high school. Andrews school is a newer building that was expanded upon a few years ago when the Pasttime Theater was demolished.

Between the two buildings, there are 404 students and 18 classes. Students in grades K-3 take classes in Andrews School, while grades 4-5 and all library, music and art classes meet in Colt School.

Formerly Bristol High School, Mount Hope High School was integrated into the Bristol Warren Regional School District in 1993. For the 2010 academic year the school has 1075 students, grades 9 through 12.

MHHS is NEASC accredited and has been named one of America's best high schools by the US News and World Report. At Mt. Hope, students are given the opportunity to participate in an array of clubs, organizations and sports.

Mount Hope High School has also recently implemented an extended day program to help students that had been struggling to graduate. The new program allows students to receive additional help after school to complete work, aiding them to graduate on time.

Sea Side Nursery School  is a small, family-owned preschool that provides before and after school programs, from 6:30am to 5pm, for children ages three to six. Children can be enrolled at any time during the school year and for a special six-week summer program. 

Children participate in arts and crafts and story time. They learn responsibility and good citizenship through an arts enriched program and personalized attention. Children also have the opportunity to participate in taking care of classroom pets to build responsibility.

Rockwell School in Bristol, Rhode Island, is a public elementary school in the Bristol-Warren School District, and is among the few public elementary schools in all of Rhode Island to receive a distinguished "Great Schools" rating of 9 out of 10. Rockwell serves almost 300 students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

The Rockwell After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) is provided for the students of the school only. Classes are held from 3:25 until 4:30pm each school day. Students can sign up for ASEP classes  on the PTO website www.rockwellpto.org. Classes are both educational and fun. Students can take part in a book club, learn about Chinese language and culture, or take part in a letter exchange program to better their writing skills.

Guiteras is one of three high-performing public elementary schools located in Bristol and is part of the Bristol-Warren Regional School District.

Just before school starts, the school hosts the annual fall fair and duck race on the Guiteras property. The school also hosts numerous family fun nights and plays an active role in the Walk-A-Thon.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a private Catholic school for students in Pre-K through eighth grade. The school boasts small class sizes with an average of 17 students to allow for personal attention and to help students succeed academically.

At Our Lady of Mount Carmel, religion is taught as well as a basic curriculum of math, science, history and english. Students are challenged with courses including  foreign language and individualized music programs.  In addition to the curriculum, school based clubs such as Student Council, Krafty Kids Club and the chess club create a well rounded learning environment for students.
